I have seen this affect numerous times flying when at a low altitude early in the evening. The sun is hitting road signs and one can see the colorful reflection from the air.. Yesterday was the first time I had a camera ready. The other photo was taken in the turn to line up for the signs. A nice flight.
I caught the last rays in the woods behind our house.
It has finally warmed up a bit here. I caught the late afternoon sun on a street lamp.
I took this photo last July from about the same position as I took the snowy scene in post 99. I need warm weather. No, make that hot weather.
I was forcing myself to delete unusable photos this evening and found this one. It was taken in the Corcoran Gallery of Art. Ironically, the door is the back entrance to the galleries of the William Eggleston exhibit.
There is nothing better for dinner on a cold night than a pot of hot chili. Purists might object to the fact that my recipe has tomatoes and beans in it, but we like it. Add a side of homemade corn bread and coleslaw and its perfect.
We had a great Christmas with lots of family and friends around. The three best photos were of this snowball fight between the four grand kids.
At least according to the calendar. I am guessing that there is at least 22 inches of that white stuff here tonight, and it is still snowing. A view out of our garage and of a very cold chaise lounge on our deck.
I caught these last greenish leaves during our last snow storm.
