Wow, it has been almost a month since I have posted to this blog. I have been taking a few images. The spring flowers have not been as vivid here as they were last spring. My guess is that we have not had as much rain in April and so far in May. Here is a flower image I like and one of a granddaughter playing soccer.
It was finally a nice sunny day here in Maryland and I had time to visit Seneca State Park looking for some fall colors.
While I was working in Washington, DC I always wanted to have time to take photos of the city and its people. Yes, the monuments and buildings are very photogenic, but so are the ubiquitous tourists, fellow bureaucrats, demonstrators for one cause or another, and the occasional VIP or his or her motorcade. I finally have enough photographs to begin a gallery.
These colorful demonstrators want to free the Uyghurs and East Turkistan.
A splash of color through the tree branches. I would have preferred a better angle with a clear fore ground, but……..you take what you can get. This was in our neighborhood late in the evening. I had the 100-400 mm lens on the 5D. I have concluded that I need to use at least a monopod when using that lens. One just cannot take a sharp photo at 400 mm hand held.
