Wow, it has been almost a month since I have posted to this blog. I have been taking a few images. The spring flowers have not been as vivid here as they were last spring. My guess is that we have not had as much rain in April and so far in May. Here is a flower image I like and one of a granddaughter playing soccer.
I was concentrating on getting a good photo of this group of daisies, making sure the focus point was where I wanted it and the depth of field made a pleasing picture, I had the right exposure, etc. I noticed the bee, but thought like all my attempts at a bee pictures it would be totally blurred. Not too bad. And, I do like the mega pixels of the 5D to enlarge and crop.
I had to spend the day reviewing proposals – again. But, at least I was smart enough to take the laptop out on the deck for most of the day. About noon a perfect ray of sun made it through the trees to light up the flower pot. Certainly more interesting than the proposals
Another shot from roaming around the neighborhood. Even though it is still August one can notice that the greens are getting darker and the ornamental grasses are turning brown. I am almost to the point of not liking the hot weather.
That is what I did all day today. Reflect, as a peer reviewer, on proposals for a disability policy study. I can’t complain, however. It pays for camera equipment, and I even learn a thing or two.
I was tied to the computer most of the day doing a proposal. Shortly afternoon, I noticed the sun coming through the skylight hitting the vase of flowers. Kind of pretty. The tone range was huge and even shooting in RAW format and doing a lot of adjusting I still clipped some highlights.
